| Software Engineer in the Research and Development department to work on the design, development and testing of software for our client's SSL VPN appliances. These appliances are Linux based and provide secure remote access to corporate applications. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Also, it is desirable to have knowledge/experience of the following: · C or C++ language · Perl or similar scripting language · Linux/Unix Operating System · Experience in development of client/server software · Knowledge of Networking Concepts · Experience in Web Development · Experience in Apache/mod-perl/mod-ssl development · Experience in security concepts and securing web traffic · Experience with the OpenSSL library Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience 2-3 years of experience in the design and development of software for linux/unix systems in the communications field, using C or C++ ========================================================================= Position Summary: The Software Engineer in the R&D department in Somerset, New Jersey, will design, develop and test software for our SSL VPN and Identity-based Security appliances. These are Linux-based appliances that provide secure remote access, LAN access, and identity-based policy enforcement protection to corporate applications and servers. The ideal candidate should have a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering , Physics, or a related field, or Bachelors Degree with proof of equivalent work experience. This is a mid-level engineering position with at least 3 years of industry experience. The Software Engineer is expected to have experience in several of the following Technologies, Languages and Operating Systems: · C and C++ languages (required) · Linux/Unix/Windows Operating Systems (required) · Linux/Unix systems-level programming (required) · GUI development with AJAX (required) · Perl or similar scripting language (highly desired) · Client/server software |
